Jaipur City Centre

Jaipur, India — Architecture Interior Design Urban Design / Master Planning

The thirty acre retail and commercial City Centre is the primary gateway experience to the Studio u+a designed Vatika Infotech City. Inspired by the old city of Jaipur, it is an arcaded, shaded landscaped pedestrian environment rendered in local red and pink sandstone.

Switzerland — Interior Design

Due to its mountainous setting, the steeply-sloping site offers spectacular views of the nearby town and natural environment.

Gurgaon, India — Interior Design

A generous full-floor apartment on an upper level of the Camellias Development in Gurgaon, the residence is conceived as a house in the country, each space endowed with a specific identity.

The Westin, Gurgaon

Gurgaon, New Delhi — Architecture Interior Design

The Westin Gurgaon is a 310 key, five star luxury business hotel which opened for business in 2010. The site is located in the heart of the IT and business hub of Gurgaon, surrounded by an elevated National Highway and major transport arteries on all sides.

Four Seasons

Bengaluru, India — Architecture Interior Design Urban Design / Master Planning

Rising above a Podium base housing Ballroom and Banquet facilities, the Lobby, Restaurants, and Retail functions, 18 stories of Hotel suites and 9 stories of branded 1 and 2 Bedroom Apartments comprise the faceted 30 storey Tower. The Tower is the centrepiece of the landmark City View development, with sweeping views all around.

Four Seasons Private Residences

Bengaluru, India — Architecture Interior Design

A significant component establishing the City View development in Bengaluru, the Four Seasons Private Residences offers a mix of large, luxury branded residences. Composed of a thirty storey glazed mass anchored by a taller stone clad core, the tower rises as a series of four segments of six storeys each sandwiching recessed floors and articulated with vertical recessed slots to add depth and shadow.

Sharing a podium base with the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences, yet separately accessed, the City View Commercial Office Building is a 14 storey fully glazed side core structure.

Al Markaz – City Centre

Masdar, Abu Dhabi — Architecture Interior Design Urban Design / Master Planning

Masdar City is a newly planned city of 6 sqkm forming a highly sustainable ‘carbon neutral’ city for a population of approximately 50,000 inhabitants, 60,000 commuters and 15,000 businesses in Abu Dhabi.

The Westin, Jaipur

Jaipur, India — Architecture

The Westin, Jaipur is planned as an integral component of Vatika Infotech City. Rising along the central boulevard opposite the City Centre, and linked to the piazza by a subterranean passageway, it is conceived as both a both a resort and a business hotel.

West One

Bengaluru, India — Architecture Urban Design / Master Planning

West One comprises three phases of premium group housing, commercial office / retail and hospitality uses on a thirty one acre parcel.

Vatika Towers

Gurgaon, India — Architecture

A unified composition of folded plates, this dynamic group of buildings begins with a single storey winglike restaurant, develops to a lowrise office block with an inclined roof plane and culminates in the office tower, its outward canted face inflected in response to the lowrise structure and joined to it by a glazed atrium.

The proposed new township on 87 acres of land will bring approximately 4,950 new homes and complementary uses including shops and services, businesses, and park spaces for 23,000 people.

The site is organized as a legible network of traditional streets and open spaces. Upon entry, one travels along the Crescent Park Road. This gently curving thoroughfare feeds a series of radiating tree lined streets leading to and from a distinct set of neighbourhoods, each characterized by a specific building typology and open space treatment.

Lifestyle Homes, India Next

Gurgaon, India — Architecture Urban Design / Master Planning

Located within the India Next Township, Lifestyle Homes is designed to deliver stately buildings defining a series of linked pedestrian greens.

Urban Entertainment Centre

Frankfurt, Germany — Architecture Urban Design / Master Planning

Studio u+a along with ABB coordinated the mixed use entertainment centre Master Plan for the ten acre site to include a fifty storey office tower, a forty storey hotel and a serviced apartment building, all linked to five low rise buildings arranged around a glass enclosed galleria with multi level retail on the lower levels and office use above. Internationally recognised architects Jean Nouvel, Christian De Portzamparc, Mario Bellini, ABB, and Studio u+a were selected to design individual buildings.

SS100 – Retail Mall & Commercial Office Tower

Gurgaon, India — Architecture Interior Design

Facing onto the premier Golf Course Extension Road (Southern Peripheral Road) and very close to the intersection with the new Mumbai Expressway in Gurgaon will be a commercial development comprising of three levels of a boutique shopping mall, an outdoor terrace level with cafes and restaurants, and 12 levels of offices above.

Turning Point

Gurgaon, India — Architecture Urban Design / Master Planning

The design responds positively to the opportunities presented by its extensive site with a layered architectural composition. The edges of the development are defined by a strong perimeter of conjoined tower and midrise building blocks.

Sovereign Next

India Next, Gurgaon — Architecture Urban Design / Master Planning

The exclusive development has seven 6 storey residential terrace buildings defining two large park areas - the Gardens and the Courtyard, and several informal areas between and behind the buildings for play or relaxing.

Skylark Worli

Mumbai, India — Architecture

The three acre mixed use development in Mumbai's Worli district is intended to stimulate the regeneration of the area. The chamfered, 275 metre tall landmark Skylark Tower would be visible from both the city and the sea. Containing high quality commercial offices on its lower floors and luxury residences above, the Tower, along with a 15 storey commercial headquarters building, would provide 2.2 million square feet of space.

Seven Elements

Vatika Express City, Gurgaon — Architecture Urban Design / Master Planning

A 14-acre residential project in Sector 89A is a mix of mid-rise and high-rise towers. The concept of seven elements has been omnipresent throughout the history of civilization and has taken many forms. For instance, the seven chakras correspond to the seven classical elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Ether, Light and Time.

Private Residence, London

London, UK — Interior Design

Housed in a former Victorian era tea warehouse in London’s Docklands, this 2300 square foot loft apartment is organised around a central gallery passage leading to a south facing Living Area. The design minimises intervention to the existing building while maximising the relationship of the interior spaces to the Thames River.

The Westin, Bengaluru

Bengaluru, India — Architecture

Manyata Place comprises 1.2 million square feet of space including commercial offices, retail use, a 300 room four star business class hotel and serviced apartments. The development is an integrated complex of four ten storey office buildings and a twelve storey hotel / apartment block defining a new public square.

Private Residence, London

London, UK — Interior Design

This Central London penthouse climbs through a sequence of interconnected volumes. Beginning at the fully contained guest suite, an L shaped stair rises a full floor to a foyer serving the master bedroom suite and the living levels, which alternate across an open stairwell over three split levels.

PVR & Retail at City Centre, Jaipur

Vatika Infotech City, Jaipur — Architecture Urban Design / Master Planning

Standing at the head of a series of arcaded retail blocks and anchoring a key intersection of Vatika InfoTech City, the PVR multiplex cinema presents a cluster of seven distinct auditoria. The collection of metal - clad, pitched roof theatres read as free - standing sculptural elements jauntily set in contrast to the stone - clad rectilinear expression of the retail blocks.

IREO Rise

Mohali, India — Architecture

The seven acre bowtie shaped IREO Rise group housing is envisioned as a family oriented pedestrian friendly community of three distinct neighbourhoods joined by a single two way internal street. Three one way vehicular loops stem from the internal street to access the buildings which enfront the open spaces.

One India Next

Gurgaon, India — Urban Design / Master Planning

By virtue of dual frontages, the residential and commercial components of the community each have independent access. Vehicular traffic is confined to the perimeter of the site, maximizing  open space availability and eliminating conflict between pedestrian and vehicles.  Basement parking areas offer direct lift access to the buildings rising above.

Gurgaon, India — Architecture Interior Design

Studio u+ a has been driven by sustainability and energy efficiency for over two decades. Reducing carbon-footprint and the desire to create state-of-the-art headquarters for Interglobe Enterprises was the primary reason to not demolish but to renovate the buildings and achieve an environment that set the standard for ESG in the National Capital Region.

IBIS Styles

Vagator, Goa — Architecture

The 4-star resort hotel of 142 guestrooms is situated on a verdant hillside site of 1.5 acres in close proximity to Vagator Beach, Goa. This hotel is configured to create more direct access to landscaped gardens as well as sports and leisure facilities including swimming pool and fitness centre.

Luxury Housing

Gurgaon, India — Urban Design / Master Planning

The proposed luxury residential development situated on 13 acres in Gurgaon will be an exclusive and premier residential development assuring the highest quality environment, spacious accommodation, and specifications to a global standard. The site is immediately adjacent to a natural preserve to its northern and western boundaries giving a tremendous opportunity to create and visually merge a large central park to its hinterland.

INXT High Street Retail & PVR

India Next, Gurgaon — Architecture

12 metal-clad auditoria, each distinctly housed and with full height illuminated surrounds. The cinema complex is situated at the top of the two storey retail blocks and designed with profiled roof forms that reflect the cinema use while display signage and advertising will create visual attraction and enhance the formation of a new primary destination.

INOX Headquarters at GFL

Noida — Architecture

The 100,000 sqft Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited office complex consists of a 20,000 sqft corporate office block for the client fronted by a continuous metal loggia and trellis over the entrance walkway and a 80,000 sqft leasable office space, connected together with a 3 storey tall glass atrium, and a landscaped courtyard.

First India Place

Gurgaon, India — Architecture Interior Design

First India Place is amongst the first international quality developments in Gurgaon. FIP is an urban microcosm, with covered streets and public spaces linking a group of 3 commercial buildings. The principal frontage features an elongated block of two adjoining bar buildings to reinforce the urban street edge, with retail uses along the ground floor.

Seven Elements Experience Centre

— Architecture

Designed as a showcase for marketing a developer housing, the Seven Elements Experience Centre features a welcoming loggia, large glass hall for display of model and marketing materials, a cafe and a fully furnished sample apartment in a landscaped garden.

Four Seasons City View, Bengaluru Preview Centre

Bengaluru, India — Interior Design

A purpose-built marketing suite on a landscaped site is constructed to showcase a fully fitted out Four Seasons Hotel guestroom and a model apartment within the Four Seasons branded 30-storey apartments building. The representative features and finishes will express the level of quality and exclusivity of the development project. Fronted by a loggia and served by a reception lobby support areas, the Preview Centre is meant to evoke City View, Bengaluru in microcosm.

INXT City Centre, Gurgaon

NH8 Gurgaon, India — Architecture Urban Design / Master Planning

Situated in close proximity to the National Highway 48, the mixed-use City Centre is conceived not only as the hub of the 500 acre India Next Township, but as a destination for all of Gurgaon.

Vatika City Point, Gurgaon

Vatika City Point is a composition of built elements comprised of a slender stone clad side core Office Tower with an appended curved metal clad shield above a sky-lit two storey retail base. All are linked at the base by a fully glazed façade which stretches from end to end along the public face of the site.

Chennai Golf Resort

Chennai — Urban Design / Master Planning

A 150 acres site with an 18-hole golf course, a beachfront resort with cottages, villas and a sea- front hotel along with a few select privately owned luxury Golf villas.

The Park Apartments

Jaipur, India — Architecture

The long, narrow site of the Central Park Apartments emerges from the need to clearly define the northern edge of the Central Park. To be built in two phases, the overall composition is focused on a pinwheeling pair of residential towers.

Canary Wharf & Retail Building RT-4

London, UK — Architecture Urban Design / Master Planning

RT-4 is the centrepiece of Canary Wharf's Churchill Place. Serving as a gateway at the easternmost end of the district, the semicircular pavilion rises above a landscaped buffer and organizes vehicular traffic to and from the area.

Bengal Intelligent Park

Kolkata, India — Architecture

A multi building 500,000 square foot IT complex on six acres, BIP is the first international level work environment in the city. Studio u+a created the Master Plan with a central landscaped park as the focus for the site.

Asian Gateway Kolkata

Kolkata, India — Architecture Urban Design / Master Planning

The 300 acre Asian Gateway is a self contained urban environment complete with office, residential, retail, hotel and educational uses. By reconfiguring existing water bodies on the site, Studio u+a created a large lake as the organising feature around which distinct districts are formed.

The newly established Town Square development of approximately 22,000 sqm comprising of 9,000 sqm retail shops and a 13,000sqm of office building presents a local centre for shopping and services at the India Next Township.

One on One

India Next, Gurgaon — Architecture Urban Design / Master Planning

Approaching the project’s southeast access from National highway-48, connecting Delhi and Gurgaon, the visitor arrives at an oval shaped roundabout, which provides a continuous drop-off and serves as a focal point for the second phase buildings comprising the southern end of the site.

Medical & Related Sciences Discovery District

Toronto, Canada — Architecture

MARS Centre is a planned biotech research centre for Toronto conceived as a meeting place for scientists, academics, venture capitalists and the business community. The urban campus contains 1.5 million square feet of office, research laboratory, conference, retail and open space uses.

Vatika Infotech City

Jaipur, India — Architecture Urban Design / Master Planning

The 800 acre Vatika Infotech City (VIC) township is located approximately five kilometres from the centre of Jaipur. VIC is ordered by a legible network of streets, boulevards and green parks creating distinct residential neighbourhoods and town centres.

Gurgaon, India — Urban Design / Master Planning

The India Next Township comprises over 500 acres spanning four sectors of Gurgaon. Set within an integrated master plan of linked open and green spaces, the distinct neighbourhoods include the India Next Residences, Vatika City Homes and Vatika Lifestyle group housing, a Town Centre and a City Centre for all of Gurgaon.

IGIB South Campus

New Delhi, India — Architecture Urban Design / Master Planning

A series of linked research facility buildings alternate along either side of a linear colonnade, resulting in a series of alternating open spaces opposite the buildings.

Guiyang Master Plan

Guiyang, China — Urban Design / Master Planning

The 250 hectare site is to be developed as a mixed use extension of Guiyang City Centre comprising eighteen million square metres of accommodation including residential, commercial offices, cultural facilities, retail use and community services set within the context of surrounding verdant hills.

The compact residential neighbourhood is comprised of a bar of midrise courtyard apartment blocks which enfronts the main road and the Lifestyle Homes development across the access road.

Business Park

The seven acre Vatika Business Park is comprised of a pair of linked midrise side core office blocks forming an L and a centre core tower which anchors the composition and marks the 800,000 square foot development in the urban context.

The Manor

New Delhi, India — Architecture Interior Design

The Manor, located in the long established Friends’ Colony neighbourhood, has eighteen rooms, each with a distinct character and layout. Studio u+a converted the 1950’s two star guesthouse into a deluxe hotel of understated elegance.
